Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 July 2026 · CampusRizz Technologies Pvt. Ltd. · Currently available at Sharda University only

CampusRizz is an anonymous-first, verified-student social platform. This document explains what we collect, why, how the anonymous chat and reveal system works, how credits and pricing work, and what happens if something goes wrong. By creating an account you agree to everything below. If you don't agree, please don't sign up.

1.Who can use CampusRizz

You must be at least 18 years old and a currently enrolled student with access to a valid college email address (currently @sharda.ac.in — more campuses may be added later). We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to hold an account, and we remove accounts found to violate this.

2.Verifying you're a real student

To create an account, you must complete two checks: a one-time code sent to your college email, and a photo of your Sharda student ID card, reviewed once by our verification team. Your account stays pending until both are complete and the ID review is approved. Your ID photo is used solely to confirm enrollment, is never shown to other students, and is deleted once review is complete — we do not keep copies of ID documents.

3.Gender, and how it's used

You choose your gender (male or female) once, during onboarding. This choice is permanent and cannot be changed afterward. It determines two things: who you're shown and matched with (you will only see and be shown users of the opposite gender), and how credits work for your account (see Section 6). We ask you to be honest about this — see Section 9 on account integrity.

4.Your alias and anonymous profile

When you join, you're given an anonymous username (an "alias") — this, not your real name, is what other users see while browsing and chatting. Your profile can include your course, year, interests, and a short bio. We do not ask for or display a real photo or your real name anywhere in your anonymous profile.

5.How requests, matching, and chat work

You can send a request to start an anonymous conversation with someone, or accept a request sent to you. Chat is alias-to-alias only — no real names, no photos — for up to 48 hours or 100 messages per session, whichever comes first. To help keep conversations anonymous until both people choose otherwise, our systems automatically scan messages for things like phone numbers, social media handles, and real names, and may block or flag messages that try to share this information early.

6.Credits and pricing

Sending a request is free for everyone. For male users, one credit is spent the moment a conversation becomes mutual — meaning the instant a request is accepted, regardless of whether you sent it or received it. If you don't have a credit available at that moment, the match is held until you add one. Female users are never charged credits, and can send up to 6 requests per week; accepting requests is unlimited and free.

Credits are purchased in packs shown in the app, do not expire, and (except where required by law, or in the case of a failed/duplicate payment) are non-refundable once spent. Prices are in Indian Rupees and may change; the price shown to you at checkout is what applies.

7.Reveal — sharing your real identity

Either person in a chat can propose a "reveal." Nothing is shared until both people agree. The first time you ever complete a reveal with anyone, you'll be asked to provide either a real photo of yourself, or your Instagram username together with your real name — you choose which. Whichever you provide becomes attached to your account for future reveals; you cannot submit a different photo or identity for each new match. If one person declines a reveal, both users are permanently prevented from matching or messaging each other again, in either direction.

8.Community guidelines

Be someone you'd be comfortable being anonymous with. Specifically: no harassment, hate speech, sexual harassment, or threats; no sharing sexually explicit images; no impersonating another person; no using CampusRizz to sell things, solicit money, or run scams; no automated tools, scraping, or bot accounts; no sharing another user's real identity, photos, or private messages without their consent, even after a mutual reveal. Use only your CampusRizz alias in anonymous chats — don't try to move the conversation off-platform before a reveal.

We may warn, suspend, or permanently ban any account that breaks these rules, at our discretion, based on reports or our own review.

9.Account integrity

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to get around request limits, free-credit allowances, or a previous ban is not allowed and may result in all related accounts being banned. Misrepresenting your gender to avoid being charged, or for any other reason, is a violation of these terms even though we do not verify gender directly.

10.Reporting and safety

You can report or block any user at any time. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We take reports seriously, but we cannot guarantee a specific outcome or timeline for any individual report. CampusRizz is a messaging platform — we are not responsible for what happens if you choose to meet someone in person, and we strongly encourage meeting in public places and telling a friend where you're going, especially before a reveal has happened.

11.What data we collect and why

College email and phone number — to verify you're a real, currently enrolled student and to help you recover your account. Declared gender — to determine your matching pool and how credits apply to your account, locked after onboarding. Profile details you choose to add — course, year, interests, bio. Chat messages — to operate the anonymous chat, run automated identity-leak detection, and investigate reports. Photo and/or Instagram handle and real name — only collected the first time you complete a reveal, and only shown to the specific person you mutually revealed to. Payment records — pack purchased, amount, and date, for accounting and dispute handling; we do not store your full card details, which are handled by our payment processor.

12.How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep chat content for a limited period after a session ends to support safety investigations, and delete it after that unless it's part of an active report. You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data, at any time by writing to us (Section 14). Some information — like payment records required for tax and accounting purposes, or records tied to an open safety investigation — may be retained even after account deletion, as permitted by law.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or other third parties. Café and offer partners only receive aggregate redemption counts, never your chat content, real identity, or contact details, unless you choose to share that with them directly yourself.

13.Changes to these terms

We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll show a notice in the app. Continuing to use CampusRizz after an update means you accept the revised terms.

14.Contact and grievances

For privacy requests, data deletion, or any grievance under applicable Indian data protection law, write to privacy@campusrizz.com. For general support, support@campusrizz.com. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
